So what's new?
A few new features will be included and others will be improved on. At first, some of the features in the old selector will
be left out during the early stages with a view to be added in the future.
One major change is all cars and alloys are to scale meaning car to alloys is more accurate to how is would look in the real
world.
Paint
The old Selector had 26 colours plus the 5 flip colours. The new version is likely to have over 100 colours to choose
from meaning you are sure to find the colour of your choice. Since larger images are now used for the main car images it has
allowed the paint to appear more realistic and less flat looking
Wheels
Choices choices, with so many wheels in so many styles its easy to get over whelmed with the immense choice of wheels in the
Selector. Now you will be able to add wheels to your Favorites meaning when browsing through the thousands of available wheels,
you can simply add your favorites as you browse. This allows you to easily narrow your choices down making it easier to pick the
perfect rims.
To further improve on realism, cars now have brakes and suspension visible thus making the alloys appears more realistic.
Brake calipers are even customizable using the same colour pallet used for paint colours.
Another new feature to assist in finding wheels is the new search tool, allowing users to search for a curtain model name or even
a particular colour. The wheel selection panel will also include a filter to allow users to narrow their searches. This allows
the filtering of wheel sizes and finishes for example.
Lowering
We have improved the lowering of cars to take into account scales. When you lower the car 20mm, the car will drop to a scale
of 20mm. Where in the old Selector the car dropped at once, in the new version it is possible to lower the front and the rear
independent of each other.
Tinting
We have improved the lowering of cars to take into account scales. When you lower the car 20mm, the car will drop to a scale
of 20mm. Where in the old Selector the car dropped at once, in the new version it is possible to lower the front and the rear
independent of each other.
Bodykits
Body kits will be made universal at first but based on real kits, this will allow easier updates. Real kits will be added in
the future.
Graphics
The graphics panel has been vastly improved on. Graphics are now loaded as masks meaning they look very realistic as opposed to
the transparent layers in the original Wheel Selector.
Interface Features
Once you have completed your pimped masterpiece, you will be able to save your simulated car in your private garage. Each
member will have there own garage allowing them to store up to 10 cars. When logging back in again users can simply start
where they left of by loading there saved car back into the selector.
Everyone likes different things which is why the new Selector interface will be fully customizable allowing our users to pick how
they wish to view the Wheel Selector. Once a new skin is chosen the settings will simply be saved to you profile.
We are also going to introduce a new sign up option, Selector Lite. Instead of selecting from the many cars available in the
standard selection, Selector Lite will allow the uploading of you own car to then allow it to be displayed in the selector to
choose from the same selection of wheels as the standard selector. All you will require is a digital photograph of a side view
of your car.
